CLIENT
Thames Valley Cancer Alliance is part of the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. They bring together cancer leaders, commissioners, service providers, people affected by cancer and third sector organisations to take a whole population approach to improving in cancer services across their geography.
BRIEF
The client approached us to create a series of educational videos for patients undergoing Systematic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT). They required 4 three minute videos for their website. The brief emphasised the need for clear explanations of the treatment processes, along with practical advice on managing the after-effects of each therapy.
RESULTS
We worked closely with the clinical team on the scripts, editing them so they worked for animation. We kept the design simple focusing on the character undergoing treatment, integrating the character animation with medical terminology in a clear and simple way. At each production stage, the clinical team and patient representatives fed back so we knew we were hitting all the right marks. The end result is four easy-to-understand advice videos that will help cancer patients as they go through their treatment.
