A Series of videos offering friendly advice and support for young people awaiting a Neurodiversity assessment
CLIENT
Leicestershire NHS Partnership Trust provides high-quality integrated mental health, learning disability and community health services. They run the local Autism Space: a free and safe online area providing clear, reliable and accessible advice and information about autism related topics and national website Health for Teens which introduces a new and different way for young people aged 11-19 to learn about their health.
BRIEF
To create three videos to support older children who have been referred for neurodiversity assessment. With waiting times for assessment at all-time high, these animations would explain what young people can expect throughout the process and give practical tips and techniques while waiting for a formal diagnosis.
RESULTS
This was a great opportunity to return to a cast of characters created for an earlier project produced in collaboration with Leicestershire NHS Partnership Trust.
This time around we were assisted by a Youth Advisory Board and took inspiration from the interests of our neurodivergent contributors, adding eye-catching anime-inspired graphics to illustrate the thoughts and experiences of the young people affected.
All three animations have gone down really well with the NHS team and the young people involved.
