CLIENT

Leicester City Council approached us after we had been recommended by the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. The council’s Live Well Little Ones campaign aims to reduce infant mortality in the city, by supporting parents and carers to be able to make the right choice when looking after babies and children.

BRIEF

We were asked to create a suite of characters for use in promotional materials and to produce an animation for use online. With Leicester being one of the most multicultural cities in the UK, the characters needed to represent our amazing diversity.

Following the success of the video we were asked to design a booklet using the graphical assets from the film. The booklet will be used by Health Visitors across Leicestershire supporting families with their newborns.

RESULTS

We designed all characters and assets in-house to cover 5 different scenarios to help parents. These were initially delivered as illustrations and then adapted into the 3-minute video ‘Keeping your Baby Safe’. We engaged animator Donna McAvoy to support the animation. The final film was split into 5 social media edits on the key topics: Co-sleeping, Crying, In The Cot, Keeping Them Warm & Room Temperature. The original script was translated into 4 additional languages, Gujarati, Urdu, Polish & Somali, and subtitles were added to all the films. The client worked with their healthcare staff to provide the voice-overs.
