BabyCenter is the Web's #1 global interactive parenting network and has nurtured more than 400 million parents since its launch in 1997. In 2007 BabyCenter en Espanol was launched for Latina mothers in the U.S to address topics of special concern and making standard parenting information relevant and accessible.
BRIEF
The topic of baby poop can be a little gross so BabyCenter was looking for a new approach for this educational animation. They wanted a fun and engaging video for their US & Spanish platforms that their users would want to share.
RESULTS
This animation features a new Mum with her baby and a parade of different poops, each with their own unique characters. We went for something cute, playful and a little silly. To give this video a unique look we used a soft, watercolour texture on the character designs. We created two versions of this film in both English and Spanish.

THE PROCESS
All the characters were illustrated in Photoshop using watercolour and ink brushes. We gave each poop type it’s own unique character and shape. The characters were then rigged using Duik in After Effects and textured paper and paint backgrounds were added.
