BRIEF
Create an animated lesson investigating the history and mystery behind the female pharoah, Hatshepsut. Exploring Egyptian beliefs about female monarchs, how she rose to power and how years after her death her statues were smashed and her name chiselled from history.
RESULTS
A bold and colourful film - reminiscent of ancient Egypt. Featuring a strong, feminine design for Hatshepsut that works well with the aesthetic of the film, but also stand out as a unique and appealing character design.

THE PROCESS
We explored ancient Egyptian art as our basis for the design of the film. We took inspiration from the colours, shapes and designs in their sculptures and paintings. This enabled us to create an aesthetic that is immediately recognisable to audiences.
